Letters to the Editor

Letter: Oil is finite, education and imagination are not

We are living in a state and world where the evidence of climate change holds dire consequences and where a fossil fuel economy cannot be our viable long term future.

I entreat the Legislature to override the governor’s vetos, which threaten the very fabric of what makes a fair, just and thriving society. The true Alaska spirit is working together and caring about shared values that build a better life for all. A life that has meaning and purpose for all citizens individually and collectively. It is about democracy and opportunity that values a moral compass, rather than a bottom line.
