Letter: A critical time

Honesty, civility, compassion, kindness, sincerity and integrity are words that have come to have little meaning to many Republican politicians and some of their constituents.

I challenge these folks to have the courage to listen to non-conservative media for two weeks. If you still dispute an opinion, then take the time to find the facts. Notice who is speaking an opinion and examine their motivation. The search for the truth is a major path to real personal growth. Having the adaptability to change in the light of the truth is difficult and at first feels alien, but in the end, it is worth the effort.

We are living during a critical time, in which I believe the preservation of our democracy is at stake.
