Letter: Oath of office

It’s very simple, really: Either Sen. Dan Sullivan defends American democratic traditions and the Constitution, or he is just a well-placed patsy. Trump has abused the power of the presidency, undermined our national security and jeopardized the integrity of our elections. He has placed loyalists and cronies in key posts, discredits the free press and silences critics by name-calling and intimidation.

The articles of impeachment clearly spell out where President Donald Trump has violated the Constitution. Anyone taking the oath of office would detect the call of duty and impeach this president. For this nation, it’s imperative Sen. Dan Sullivan does.
