Letter: We need a fair process

I know many Democrats have been out to get President Donald Trump from the day he was sworn in. But that shouldn’t stop Republicans, including those I’ve supported, from continuing a robust impeachment investigation — the evidence laid out so far in the House certainly points to a guilty verdict.

However, from what I’ve seen, it looks like Senate Majority Leader McConnell is coordinating with the White House to make sure that the remainder of the inquiry in the Senate is tampered with to the president’s advantage. That isn’t fair to the American people, and it certainly isn’t in line with what the Constitution demands of Congress. Thankfully, Sen. Lisa Murkowski has spoken out and criticized this coordination between McConnell and Trump. We could use more of that in Congress.
