Indeed, it’s a sad day that “Congress, as an institution, has failed,” as Sen. Lisa Murkowski stated in her explanation of her vote to not request more witnesses in the impeachment “trial.”
Alaskans know that Sen. Dan Sullivan is a minion for President Donald Trump and supports him in all his endeavors, but we held out hope that Sen. Murkowski would be more independent and fair and would want a legitimate trial that included key witnesses. Sadly, she let us and the country down with her vote, and I hope that Alaskans remember that when her election comes.
