Letters to the Editor

Letter: Bad decisions

China covered up the initial outbreak of the coronavirus and infected the world; that is surely true. It’s also true that the World Health Organization could have been a little more on the ball, though they quickly caught up. On the other hand, President Donald Trump chose to completely ignore warnings from both inside and outside his own administration, briefly caved to intense pressure, wasted most of the precious time he bought with his travel ban, and is now, against every single expert’s advice, planning to reignite the first wave of a worldwide pandemic. I have not read the book that those 37 psychiatrists wrote — but their title, “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump,” now seems like a bit of an understatement.

At this time, I would just really like to thank Gov. Mike Dunleavy for so far keeping us safe, and I urge him to continue to do so.
