I saw Merrill Field got a huge grant for airport improvements. Here are a couple of ideas for significant improvements:
1. Install a self-service gas pump for 24-hour fueling.
2. Build a float plane canal to relieve Lake Hood and allow more float plane operations out of Anchorage to remote areas without runways. This would allow float planes to be hangared at Merrill Field as well.
