Letter: COVID-19 collateral damage

Every one of us has had the coronavirus crisis affect our lives in a major negative way.

But one of the most disappointing aspects that I’ve noted is the number of online comments that suggest that there’s a significant percentage of the United States population that would wish the economic damage to persist so as to be a major factor in the 2020 presidential election.

Who in their right mind would wish this much economic hardship on their fellow citizens in order to further their political goals? Just who?
