Letter: Dictatorial actions

President Donald Trump is acting like a dictator. Calling the National Guard on a peaceful demonstration is shades of China and Tiananmen Square. The First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States guarantees “freedom of assembly and the right to petition.” I am outraged.

I find it outrageous that our Congress stands by and allows our current president to get away with his constant eroding of our rights and freedoms as Americans. Black lives matter. Our guaranteed rights as citizens of the U.S. matter. Watching this president continually create divisiveness in our country is alarming. He is no leader. I truly hope all Americans stand up and vote to protect our freedoms. I hope we are allowed to vote!
