Marc Lester’s protest pictures in the May 31 paper were nothing short of superb. They were raw, compelling and powerful while also being extremely intimate. I couldn’t stop looking at them, especially the one of the young men kneeling in the street, and only wish it had been at the top of the page.
His images captured Anchorage at our very best and were the perfect complement to those showing what’s going on Outside. Thank you to Marc and to the entire ADN staff for the excellent work you consistently continue to do under extremely difficult conditions.
