Letters to the Editor

Letter: Practice safe behavior

After two months of hunkering down, I observe that there is a relaxation of preventative measures from many residents. Fewer customers in stores are wearing masks and groups of people congregate without distance.

It is important that we stay vigilant or our COVID-19 numbers will continue the increase we have seen lately. To keep us aware of the threat, I suggest that the daily COVID-19 case count be publicly displayed on some of the numerous electronic signs around town. This epidemic is not going away until we have a vaccine. Wear your mask, wash your hands and keep your bubble small. If not for your own sake, make the effort for your fellow Alaskans.
