Letter: Time for Trump to go

President Donald Trump is a former reality show host, founder of the fraudulent Trump University, self-acclaimed “stable genius” and “war president.” He previously belittled the parents of a young Muslim-American Army officer who was killed in action in Iraq. He downplayed the concussions and traumatic brain injuries suffered by American military victims of a rocket attack in Iraq as “headaches.” He recently pardoned an American Army officer convicted of war crimes in Afghanistan.

He wants to use our military to “dominate the streets” against Americans protesting around the country. He used force to disperse a crowd near the White House to help set the stage for a photo op with him holding a Bible. Army Gen. Mark Milley, who was with Trump at the time, later regretted being part of this action.

Also, despite his previous denials, it was recently reported that Trump was briefed that bounties had been offered by a Russian intelligence unit to Taliban militants for Americans killed in Afghanistan. Thereafter, he continued to praise and defend his friend and former KGB officer, Vladimir Putin. Trump’s borderline treasonous behavior, as “commander in chief” of our military, is deeply disturbing. This November, it’s time to vote Trump and his enablers out of office before they do even more harm to our country.
