Letter: Protect poll workers

The Centers for Disease Control and health professionals have shown and told us that the COVID-19 virus is spread by breath coming out of people’s mouths. We have been told it travels six feet for sure and maybe more — then falls to the ground or floor. I am hoping that Alaska and municipal election officials provide masks, shields, gloves and a plastic barrier high enough to protect those poll workers who are sitting at tables facing the potentially contaminated incoming “falling” breaths of voters.
