Letter: Keep schools safe

Great editorial on Sunday’s opinion page from the ADN editorial board. All students and all school staff need to be tested prior to opening up any schools. Science has proven that there are many asymptomatic children and adults who spread the virus to others. Opening up schools is not worth one child’s or teacher’s death. Our state needs to creat a much better testing system. The government has sent us the funds; let’s use them. I was tested on a Monday and was called by the testing center the very next day. Let’s do the same for our children and teachers before even considering opening schools.
