Letter: Shooting questions

I read your article regarding police and trooper shootings in Alaska, and while I appreciated the excellent information you provided, a number of questions came to mind. I think your article would give us a better picture if these were answered.

1. What kind of record did each person have?

2. If there were past crimes, were any having to do with domestic abuse or violence?

3. Had this person served any jail time?

4. Was the person high on drugs, drunk or both?

5. How obvious were the racial traits of the person to the casual observer?

Perhaps you should do a follow-up and determine these things. It would help us have a better understanding of how our state is doing in this area.
