Letter: Election doomsday

At the end of election night on Nov. 3, Donald Trump will most likely be ahead in the vote count. He will then declare that he won and is too far ahead in votes for Biden to come back. The reason he will be ahead is that most Republicans will be voting in person and most Democrats will be voting by mail.

The Republicans’ votes will be tallied up on election night and the Democrats’ votes will be tallied up the next week or so. Trump will then decide that all the remaining votes be thrown away and the election is over. Trump will say that the mail-in votes are fake votes, as he did in 2016 when he lost the popular vote by 3 million votes, but this time he will be the sitting president and will not leave the White House. This election is going to be a disaster, and will be the start of a dictator taking over the country. Our Republican U.S. legislators are scared of Trump and will not say or do anything against Trump.

To paraphrase what someone once said, “When they came for the others, I said nothing. Now they are coming after me and there is no one left to speak for me. "
