Letter: Hypocrisy

In the spring of 2016, during an election year, when a Supreme Court had a sudden vacancy, Sen. Dan Sullivan emphatically stated that “the people should have a voice in the selection of a replacement when they cast their vote for president.” That was eight months before the election.

Now, with only a few weeks before the election, when the same scenario was presented, he is all for discounting the voice and vote of the people to push for a replacement before the election. True to his politician pedigree, when Sen. Sullivan’s honor was on the line, he proved to be a full-blood, purebred hypocrite.
