Letter: Better for Alaska

I’ve heard Alaskans say they’re voting for Donald Trump because he’s “better for Alaska.”

As an attorney with 30 years experience advocating for and defending natural resource projects in Alaska, I can tell you it simply isn’t true.

Is it better for Alaska to support an administration that is so ham-handed and inept that when it tries to advance a natural resource project, it inevitably ends up in court and loses because it has failed to take the simple and common sense steps the law requires it to take?

Is it better for Alaska to have a president who threatens our senior senator, and Alaskan projects she may support, simply because she displeases him?

Is it better for Alaska to have a president who is so arrogant that he denies us the opportunity to hear both candidates explain their policies in a debate?

Joe Biden is a traditional Democrat who supports workers, jobs and resource development that will take us into the future. Believe these facts, which are supported by his long career, and not the election time scare tactics that you’re hearing from Trump. Alaska will do very well by supporting Joe Biden for president.
