Here’s my holiday wish list:
• The vaccines are distributed rapidly and equitably, and next Thanksgiving, we’re all having big feasts with family and friends;
• The media turn off the lights and the mics and walk away when President Donald Trump starts repeating his lies and conspiracy theories about the election being rigged;
• Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer sit down and swiftly work out a generous COVID-19 relief bill prior to Congress’ holiday break;
• The Republican Party commits to working with the incoming Biden/Harris administration to cooperatively address America’s major issues (e.g., COVID-19, climate change, the economy, social justice) — rather than blocking everything they propose, as they did with the Obama/Biden administration.
