A few days ago, I heard about some people going door to door to collect signatures to recall Felix Rivera from the Anchorage Assembly. I hope whoever is going door-to-door is wearing a mask. Regardless, it is disappointing to hear of the small group of neighbors who are trying to recall Felix. I know Felix to be a hard-working Assemblymember who always attends my local community council meeting and listens to his neighbors concerns and he works hard for us in Midtown.
So why would these folks want to recall Felix? I was baffled to be told that it was because he allowed two more people into the large Assembly chambers than were allowed. That is ridiculous and seriously suspect! Let Felix continue to do the great work he does for Midtown and reject this recall effort.
