Letter: A gift of starlings

I pulled to a stop at a traffic light on Boniface Parkway. Turning traffic finished. I looked up for a green light, but instead caught a murmuration of starlings. The local flock, not thousands like Outside, but unmistakeable. A knife swooping up, then a roller coaster down and around. In less time than it took you to read this, they were gone. I continued on to Costco. As I write this, I can see them still. An unexpected gift.
