President Donald Trump has asked his followers to give to his political action committee under false pretenses of election fraud. The funds within his PAC should be used to pay for repairs to the Capitol. What better way for the MAGA donations to be used than to “make whole” the damage done?
Our democracy was tested and passed. But many of the trespassers were “sheep” caught up in the moment. How do we make them pay? Prosecute? Let us just encourage the Trump PAC to use its funds to repair the political process and take away the ill-gotten gains from Trump. It would also be a positive gesture from the Republican Party, not to mention hitting Trump where he cares most — his pocketbook.
