Letter: Voting issues

I have voted in Alaska as Joan E. Tower since 1983 as a Republican, and never had an issue until the 2020 presidential election. I voted in person and my ballot showed Joan R. Tower as my name. When I questioned it, the poll worker said it would be all right. I replied, “That is not my name.”

I was finally given a questioned ballot. I called the election commission and they sent me a new voter card with the correct info. My question is, why this year, if there was no fraud?
