Letter: Time to grow up

I’m so sorry Sen. Lora Reinbold was insulted when the governor spoke truth to her in his recent letter. It must be hard confronting the fact that she is acting like a child; that instead of comprehending basic science, she chooses to believe in the bizarre fantasies created by internet madmen; or that she may be hurting the people around her. I urge her to stop feigning insult and personal affront when the governor calls her out on her juvenile behavior and dangerous lies, or when Alaska Airlines “mistreats” her by requiring her to act like a grown-up and wear a mask to protect people around her.

No one owes Sen. Reinbold an apology because they won’t let her be a terrible person.

The rest of us are tired of the senator’s ridiculous antics. There is serious business to be done and we pay her a salary to do it. We would prefer to have a grown-up sitting in her seat. She should start acting like one. If she can’t, she should cease her cries for attention and go home. Her behavior is negatively impacting our state.
