Letter: Nurses deserve better

We are longtime residents of Anchorage and have used Providence as our preferred hospital for many years. We have received excellent care from nurses and other staff at Providence. We hope all Anchorage citizens will stand in solidarity with nurses as they negotiate their contract with Providence administration.

It is reprehensible that nurses are in danger of losing current benefits and rights. These actions dishonor nurses who  risked their lives during the pandemic. It is bad faith negotiation. We expect better for nurses.
