Our illustrious governor has pulled yet another fast one on us. If you noticed that your Anchorage property taxes have jumped up this year, you have Gov. Mike Dunleavy to thank for it.
But wait! Did he actually increase our taxes? No, he is able to technically deny that he has increased taxes. He forced the “liberals” in Anchorage to increase your property taxes by cutting the traditional funding for the yearly school bond debt reimbursement. A very clever sleight of hand that we get to pay for.
