Letter: Hurray for Dunleavy’s PFD veto

I think that the 50/50 plan is brilliant that Gov. Mike Dunleavy put before the Legislature. This would stop the fighting every year over the Permanent Fund dividend the budget. Put it in the Alaska Constitution.

I like the fact that he also vetoed the per diem on special session. The Legislature shouldn’t get paid when they can’t get their work done during the allotted time. Every year we have special sessions. I don’t remember when we did not have one. Maybe this year will be the change; we need to get back to basics!
