The delta variant of COVID-19 has become dominant. But, what is not widely reported is the lambda variant is coming up from Peru, where it now dominates. William A. Haseltine recently reported via Forbes that the lambda variant evades the protection offered by vaccines threefold more than original COVID-19.
We must prepare ourselves, even if our governor does not make lockdown mandates, that customers will simply stay home, after hospitals become full. It is winter in South America, so it is logical that their lambda variant may become dominant here when our winter comes. It is reported that the lambda variant is already circulating in 44 states.
