Letter: Show percentage vaccinated

Since the Anchorage area has only about 62% of its population fully vaccinated against COVID-19, it’s abundantly clear that medical authorities and others telling people to get vaccinated doesn’t work. People might even believe it’s the best thing for their health and the protection of others. But quite simply, they don’t like anyone telling them what to do.

I realize space is at a premium in ADN’s pages, but it might make people more inclined to receive the vaccine if you added another column to the “number of cases” and “number of deaths” categories in your statewide roundup, the last one of which was published Jan. 24. Those additions would show what percentage of those stricken were partially or fully vaccinated.
