Letter: Hard labor

Since they most likely will not outlaw AR-15 assault rifles, then make the punishment for committing crimes with them hard, not just a soft jail cell. If a person commits a mass shooting they go to the Mass Shooters’ Prison. Hard labor six days a week. Haul in 50 dump truck loads of big-size gravel. All day long, the prisoner shovels gravel into a wheelbarrow and wheels it 100 feet, then dumps it. Once the gravel is all moved, they reverse and load and wheel it back. Day after day, year after year.

It may sound a cruel punishment, but deciding to buy a gun to kill as many people as you can must be stopped. If the deadbeats in Washington, D.C., can’t outlaw guns for political reasons, then they need to explain why they don’t think there should be the harshest life sentence possible.
