Letters to the Editor

Letter: Economic reality

I suggest we coin the word “Trumponomics” for the unique combination of ineptitude, indifference and inefficiency that the previous administration used to bring chaos to the U.S. economy in such short order; it’s truly impressive, regardless of one’s perspective.

I am referring to the massive increase in tariffs which has contributed to the current supply-chain issues and the threat to cut off weapons to the Saudis unless they cut oil production, which is why your motor fuel costs so much. Before someone mentions Joe Biden stopping the Keystone pipeline, know that all that oil would have been shipped to Texas for export to foreign refineries — none of it would have remained in America.
