For most of my life, I have had the right to choose what was best for myself and my body. We are lucky that we have pro-choice candidates for governor and lieutenant governor of Alaska: Les Gara and Jessica Cook.
The right to abortion shouldn’t be without specific limitations. We need a governor in Alaska who will support the right to choose and ensure that the limitations don’t render the right mute.
I spoke with Les this week and told him my two priorities in this election are a person’s right to choose, and equal rights for everyone. (Clarence Thomas raised the specter of backtracking on rights for our LGBTQIA+ loved ones.) Les assured me he and Jess are committed to ensuring our rights.
