Letter: Where’s the militia?

Once again, the nation is responding to the news of another “mass shooting,” a shooting involving multiple individuals. According to the Second Amendment, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

I’ve searched the names of the individuals who have initiated these mass shootings, and I’ve yet to find a reference to “a well-regulated Militia.” Perhaps it’s time Americans wake up and realize the unlimited right to bear arms, per the Second Amendment, has no place in modern society.
