Letter: National security interests

On Aug. 9, when we first heard about the unprecedented Mar-a-Lago search warrant, Sen. Dan Sullivan sprung to Donald Trump’s defense and took a swipe at law enforcement. He called on the attorney general for transparency.

Well, we’ve sure had some jaw-dropping transparency. Top-secret documents, possible obstruction and espionage? I’ve called Sen. Sullivan’s office to ask if he was going to apologize for bad-mouthing the FBI or issue some other clarifying statement about the need to protect classified national security secrets. Not surprisingly: crickets.
