Letter: Supporting Nick Begich

I met Nick Begich for the first time almost two years ago when he was visiting Juneau. I was blown away by his insight and deep knowledge of statewide issues and his ability to field a wide range of questions with factual and meaningful responses.

Nick built his business with hard work and vision and I respect and admire him for his ability to pull that off at such a young age. He took the risks and reaped the rewards, which is the essence of the American dream.

Nick is an energetic, brilliant and successful young entrepreneur with realistic conservative values. I trust him with my family’s future and admire him even more because he was willing to run for public office and subject himself to the confusion and manipulation of ranked choice voting.

When you consider Nick’s competitors in the congressional race, neither even comes close to having the skill set Alaska needs for future success. One example: Nick’s knowledge of Alaska’s mining industry is masterful. He fully understands the strategic minerals potential in every part of Alaska to make America less dependent on unfriendly foreign suppliers and provide good-paying jobs for our residents. Nick’s ability to make that “business case” for Alaska is unmatched in this race.

Please get out and vote and rank Nick No. 1 or, at the very least, put him as your No. 2 under this crazy ranked choice voting system.
