I have found it interesting, as I have gone to and participated in women’s rights rallies, that Les Gara is the only candidate for governor that shows up at these rallies and supports women’s rights. Gara is the only pro-choice candidate in this race, the only candidate that shows up at prochoice rallies and the only candidate that mentions protecting women’s right to choose in his election pamphlet.
That said, Mike Dunleavy is the only one who promises to take away women’s health care rights, if he gets elected, with a constitutional amendment. Dunleavy is an extremist, who opposes choice even for victims of rape and incest. When I vote Nov. 8, this is just one reason why I’m ranking Les Gara and Jessica Cook first. Bill Walker will be second on my ballot.
Les and Jess have earned all the pro-choice endorsements in this race. Don’t let Mike Dunleavy take away yours, your daughters’, sisters’ and granddaughters’ rights this election. Vote, and rank Les Gara first.
