Letters to the Editor

Letter: Wohlforth is right

Thank you for the three articles on Alaska by Charles Wohlforth. Charles is one of the few adults in the room of Alaska politics, a place crowded with carpetbaggers, crackpot schemers, windbags, buffoons and hoodlums wearing suits. Our governor is a shameless coward who ducked out of nearly all the election debates, but showed up in our mailboxes bragging about how much of the state’s money he gave away.

Alaska may be the only state in the nation where a politician can still buy votes openly. Through a combination of numbskullery and skullduggery, the governor and his henchmen are bankrupting the education of our children, dismantling our once-proud public services and institutions and turning this place into a cheap imitation of Texas.

Thanks, Charles, for your reasoned and rational view of a direction forward for Alaska.
