The November and December winter storms that unpredictably occurred back-to-back over an 11-day period were an unprecedented event of a lifetime. Anchorage received more than 50% of its usual annual snowfall within 11 days. Maintenance crews’ hard work has not gone unnoticed. Thank you.
Additionally, I’m sorry that the political group called 907 Initiative called into question Street Maintenance staff and their handling of this once-in-a-lifetime winter event. MOA Street Maintenance staff, keep up the good work.
