It is definitely clear that Mayor Dave Bronson must resign now. The city of Anchorage should not be put through the upheaval of litigation by Amy Demboski. The mayor should have to bear the costs of litigation personally, although that probably is not feasible. So let’s hope Bronson will settle Demboski’s claim swiftly and resign.
People like Larry Baker have a duty to respond to the allegations involving him publicly.
I agree with the ADN editorial board that Anchorage cannot continue to allow the status quo to continue with the Bronson “no comment” response. This is a public issue, and the public deserves all the facts — now.
