Letter: Pay raises

I heard today that our governor is being considered for a 15% increase in pay due to inflation. How many other state workers are being similarly considered? None?

Also today, I read about Wendler Middle School taking donations to feed families in need. Gov. Mike Dunleavy expressed concern about those who have not been able to get food stamps due to the state backlog. So how about he actually do something about it rather than express sorrow? How about giving up your pay raise, governor, to show that you are committed to the idea of making Alaska a “pro-life” state? Some of the families in your state need the money more than you do. That would be the Christian, “pro-life” thing to do.
