Proposition 14 on the municipal ballot will promote child care and early education in Anchorage. This is a huge need in our community, and will enable parents to ensure quality care for their children while they go to work.
Studies have repeatedly shown that access to quality care and preschool education makes a huge difference in the life chances of children. This proposition will dedicate the existing marijuana tax money to provide for hundreds of kids in Anchorage, and also lower the property tax cap. This is just the kind of thing that supports our economy and betters our society. I encourage everyone to vote yes on Proposition 14.
