Letter: Choose Arlington for Assembly

Jim Arlington is a 40-year resident of Chugiak-Eagle River who is running for the Municipal Assembly. Chugiak-Eagle River stands out as a unique community within Anchorage, and Jim’s intent is to make sure we are treated fairly when it comes to taxes and services.

Attempts to divide our community by raising political issues that have nothing to do with the work of the Assembly are counterproductive. By municipal charter, Assembly seats are nonpartisan and partisanship has no place in a municipal election.

Jim Arlington’s primary goal is to faithfully represent the people and interests of Chugiak-Eagle River. Jim has the ability to work with other Assembly members, and this is essential to accomplish this goal. We have endorsed Jim Arlington, and we encourage you to consider him for the Assembly. We believe he is the best choice to represent Chugiak-Eagle River.
