Letter: Pay raise criteria

Regarding pay raises for the governor, his cabinet and legislators, I think we should employ the yardstick that some are suggesting be employed in the consideration of school funding: increased results and accountability.

Here’s my list of necessary accomplishments before they should get any increase in compensation: a long-term fiscal plan for the state, settling the Permanent Fund dividend debate, forward-fund school funding. I have a half-dozen more, but let’s start with that. Heck, if they get that accomplished, I would support a raise and a bonus!
