Letter: A good choice for Assembly

Anna Brawley would make an exceptional Assembly person. I’ve known Anna for a dozen years, working closely with her at consulting firm Agnew::Beck, and in her role as chair of the Turnagain Arm Community Council.

Anna offers the package of skills and experience that Anchorage needs. She’s got a particularly keen mind, and proven skills at unpacking complicated issues. Through her work in multiple settings — from helping complex legislation get drafted and approved in the state Legislature, to sorting out funding and policy questions in Alaska communities — she’s shown a gift for helping opposing viewpoints come together, think fresh and set shared goals.

Anna is both a good listener and a strong leader, finding ways to keep people on track and moving to workable solutions. She’s practical and pragmatic, recognizing that ideological-based solutions aren’t what Anchorage needs to strengthen our economy and improve our neighborhoods. Her years of professional and volunteer work make clear that Anna is deeply invested in Anchorage’s future, and has the drive and ability to make our community an even better place to live and make a living. West Anchorage, please vote for Anna.
