Letter: Thanks to a joyful pair

During the recent performance of “Jersey Boys,” my husband, son and I met a very charming 92-year-old man who brought such happiness to us that evening. I had noticed the gentleman and his lovely friend earlier. They just happened to be seated in front of us.

The gentleman was so proud of his age. He was so happy and was thoroughly enjoying himself. His lovely friend was just as fabulous!

The friend was a gorgeous woman who was wearing vintage clothing. Her dress was 1970s vintage and from a company named Gunne Sax; she also wore a striking vintage coat. She was so beautiful. She sparkled!

Both of their spouses had passed, and they enjoyed doing things and going places together. I was so happy for them.

As much as we loved the performance, we thoroughly enjoyed our time spent speaking with both of them during intermission. They both shared their goodness, happiness and thoughts, and we loved every minute they shared.

I pray that they will see this small notice. I just had to tell how much time spent with them was so special, and I just wanted to say “thank you.” Just meeting them both made me smile, and I felt that they needed to know the extent of their being joyful and spreading joy!
