Letters to the Editor

Letter: A different spin

The headline, “Thousands of baby caribou slaughtered by deadly predators” would pose a different view on the predator control the state of Alaska conducted on the bear and wolf populations on the Mulchatna caribou calving grounds. Caribou slaughter or bear massacre?

Bears and wolves will kill thousands of caribou in the calving grounds if left unchecked. One hundred bears, 3,000 caribou. I think it’s a good thing the state is giving the caribou herd a boost.
