Letter: A nonsensical endorsement

From the department of “you can’t make this stuff up,” we have the governor of the state of Alaska making an endorsement defining his worldview. He has endorsed Donald Trump for the Republican nomination for president.

This is a man who has been found civilly liable for sexual harassment, four times indicted on 91 criminal counts, a serial liar and a tax cheat.

Maybe Dunleavy admires the fraud and corruption of Trump’s presidency, or maybe it’s the fact that Trump added $4 trillion to the national debt. Dunleavy is putting the prestige of the governor’s office and whatever reputation he has at risk to make this endorsement. Maybe he feels his political career is over at the end of his term and wants to be eligible for the grifting opportunities.
