While Pat Simpson may be grateful to the U.S. Forest Service, Alaskans and all persons with cystic fibrosis should be grateful to Simpson. Since 2006, he has personally organized the Lost Lake Race and raised $2 million to support cystic fibrosis research. It is Alaskans like him who make this state great.
