In his Oct. 9 letter to the editor “Democrats throw Congress into chaos,” Bill Hibler referred to himself as a Democrat. I was taken by this declaration, given the tenor of his letter. I did a little research and found that in May 2022, Hibler was listed as “nonpartisan” when he ran as a candidate for the U.S. House.
My impression is that Hibler is neither nonpartisan nor Democrat; he fits more neatly into the Republican Party. Perhaps it is time for Hibler to more accurately describe his party affiliation.
