We would like to commend the students in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough who are willing to walk out of class and protest at election sites to improve the behavior of the Mat-Su school board.
It is heartening that students will act publicly to support major issues rather than passively accept the status quo. They know they will be criticized, and what they did requires courage. We should be proud of them.
